Cosmos bipinnatus, commonly known as Garden Cosmos or Mexican Aster, is a popular annual flowering plant with several nicknames. It is also sometimes referred to as Cut Leaf Cosmos and Tall Cosmos. The name "Cosmos" itself, derived from the Greek word "kosmos," refers to the ordered arrangement of the flower's parts or the jewel-like colors of its blooms.
